Statistics: Russia's mortality increases 18.6% in July over covid
MOSCOW, Aug 30 (PRIME) – Russia’s mortality increased by 18.6% on the year to 215,265 people in July with the coronavirus being the main cause of death of 38,922 people, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on August 27.
In January–July, mortality increased by 16.6% to 1.3 million people.
The birth rate fell by 4.6% to 124,715 babies in July in year-on-year terms.
